Anna Kendrick Biography
Anna Kendrick was conceived in Portland, Maine on August 9, 1985 to Janice, a bookkeeper, and William K. Kendrick, a history instructor and financer. Anna had an energy for performing from an early age, beginning with moving lessons and featuring in “Annie” at her nearby group theater at age five. Anna affectionately reviews bringing the transport with her sibling (two-years-more established performer Michael Cooke Kendrick) into New York City at age ten, where the two auditioned for different advertisements and she handled her first ability operators. Anna reviews her tyke on-screen character self as “one of those hyperactive children who needed to bounce around and sing and move and shout and be in front of an audience.” By twelve, Anna had auditioned her approach to Broadway, and was playing gifted vaudeville kid Dinah in “High Society.”
